Friday night

These pictures were taken last Friday at our friend Aina's surprise party. It was her 18th birthday, so the occassion required our best outfits.

Isabel's dress is Topshop

Happy birthday! She's wearing an amazing dress from Mango.

I'm wearing MIU MIU

From S/S 2006, I think.

My fake fur jacket is H&M, Isa's blazer is Sfera and our heels are Zara.

Yes. It happened to be. My beloved sister let me wear this awesome piece, I still cannot believe it. I was the happiest girl in the world when, after begging for such a long time, she said "ok"!
Isabel's asymmetric dress is so nice, and it fits her perfectly. She bought it in London last Christmas, I love how it looks on her, the contrast with her blonde hair and her pale skin.

Lemonade-CocoRosie

Sasha Pivovarova shows her own personal photography and unique design in this editorial titled “Secret Stories” featured in February 2011 issue of Vogue Paris. I love Sasha and her artistic facet. That's one of the reasons why she's so special.
Totally inspiring pictures.

I Love You

Two months ago, my sister came to me and gave me this my magazine. I've never seen it or even heard about it, but it was like love at first sight. Before starting to read it, I knew I loved it.
This young based in Berlin magazine mixes all kind of things: photography, illustrations, writtings, latest fashion, interesting interviews, inspiring quotes...
The quality of the pictures is incredible, I keep it like a treasure.
If you get the chance to buy it, don't think twice; you won't be disappointed!

The issue I own is The Princess Issue, the fifth one (Fall 2010) with Paz de la Huerta on the cover. It is about princesses, weddings and pink stuff but all written and made up with that mysterious, weird feeling that makes it magnetic.

I really really recommend it!

Here you have some quotes I really like:

"I am a princess. All girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics. Even if they dress in rags, even if they aren't pretty, or smart, or young. They're still princesses"

"The person you love is 72.8% water"

RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD
Taoism: Shit happens
Hinduism: This shit happened before
Buddhism: When shit happens is it really shit?
7th Day Adventist: Shit happens on Saturday
Protestantism: Shit won't happen if I work harder
Catholicism: If shit happens, I deserve it
Jehovah's Witness: Knock, knock, "shit happens"
Judaism: Why does shit always happens to me?
Hare Krishna: Shit happens rama rama ding dong
Atheism: No shit
T.V. Evangelism: Send more shit
Rastafarism: Let's smoke this shit

(isn't it hilarious?!)

"Dear Prince Charming,
just five more minutes!
Sincerely, Sleeping Beauty"

"Dear Mom,
Please stop guilt tripping me. I'm fine the way I am,
and just because you always diet doesn't mean I have to.
Sincerely, your fit but fat daughter"

"You know what luck is? Luck is believing you're lucky, that's all... To hold a front position in this rat-race, you've got to believe you are lucky"

"I fucking hate weddings. I have always hated weddings, even before a undergraduate research project on the Wedding Industrial Complex revealed how far reaching and insidious it is. Even if you think marriage is nifty, weddings are insipid frippery; they have nothing to do with being in a relationship. I hate the froofed-up pretty princess aesthetic, I hate the Passing of the Woman from dad to dude,I hate all the things you "must" do, like have a guest book, and include your friends reading bad poetry, and make everyone do the Chicken Dance at the reception.
I hate that everyone -no, really, everyone- thinks that their wedding was totally original and personalized and equalicious, even though you could set your watch by the lighting of Unity Candles, and virginity fetishism is in full effect and jeezusgawd if I ever hear Canon in D again I will destroy the universe with my explosive scorn. I may have just triggered one thousand defensive "you're judging me!" comments, but so be it.
I'm glad you found a loving companion, but I fucking hate weddings. Even yours."

Crystalised

"It didn't matter in the end how old they had been, or that they were girls, but only that we had loved them, and that they hadn't heard us calling, still do not hear us, up here in the tree house with our thinning hair and soft bellies, calling them out of those rooms where they went to be alone for all time, alone in suicide, which is deeper than death, and where we will never find the pieces to put them back together"

I'm not calling you a liar

Denim shirt, pants, boots and vest are Zara; knit coat is Cortefiel; jumper is H&M; bag is Maison de Vacances; hat is unknown and rings are gifts from friends.

This is what I wore on Saturday.
I love my new knuckle ring!

Dog days are over

T-shirt from H&M, shorts from Levi's, sunnies from RayBan and belt from Sessun.

It's being so cold here that I just can think about Spring, Summer and sunny days. I must say I prefer Winter than Summer, but this cold... it's hard to handle, even more when you have lovely exams. I can't imagine myself living in another country where the temperatures are below 0 degrees!! That's what happens when you are used to the Mediterranean weather.

So I'm posting pictures from this Summer, I miss my tan... and HOLIDAYS!

And I'm also posting my favourite song of the Summer (how I wish Florence Welch would come to Spain and I could see her live!!!)

Superstition

We promise some day we'll post pictures of us, some day... Mean while, here you have random pictures that inspire us, and a brilliant song. Because good music makes life easier.

Las cosas absurdas no tienen también su lugar en este mundo que dista de ser perfecto? Si quitamos todo lo absurdo de una vida imperfecta incluso perderá esta cualidad: la imperfección.
